The Registration Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient registration experience by managing new registrations and check-ins for clinical visits, while also supporting various outpatient services.

Responsibilities

Create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits throughout the outpatient setting of the hospital
Support may be needed for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic check-ins, operating seven days per week, during both day and evening times
Schedule patient return visit appointments
Minimize clinic access delays
Effectively communicate with patients/families, informing of and collecting signed consent for care
Maintain standards for infection prevention
Establish systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience

Qualification

Customer service experienceAdministrative support experienceHealth care experienceBilingual skillsCommunication skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field
Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment
Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills
