Responsibilities

Assisting the Sales Traders with CIBC’s clients foreign exchange, commodities, and interest rate needs

Assisting with analytical reports, financial modeling, structuring, research, transaction support, and other ad hoc requests for senior sales professionals in your business

Learning about the sales role in the Capital Markets group in Chicago

Participating in the CIBC intern program including: interacting with a mentor, attending lunch and learns, intern mixers, and offsite events, collaborating with the rest of the intern class while working on the Intern Case Presentation

Required

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a Business related discipline including Economics, Finance or related at the time of the internship

Expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028

Knowledge of business, economics and/or finance acquired through education and experience

Strong interest in and knowledge of financial markets

Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with design knowledge a plus

An organized individual with high attention to details to help improve efficiencies

Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts
