CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking an Operations Reconciliation Specialist. In this role, you will work with the Finance Accounting Operations team to manage reconciliations and ensure accurate financial statements while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Prepare and finalize various daily reconciliations to accurately state the financial statements

Research and resolve all reconciling items in a timely manner

Participate in the month-end close process

Identify, investigate, analyze and resolve reconciling items

Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Discuss/clarify reconciling items and obtain additional information

Coordinate team activities by collaborating to ensure deadlines are met

Assist with training to support peers in learning and understanding processes

Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Office skills

Required

Ability to identify, investigate, analyze and resolve reconciling items, ensuring all tasks are performed per all internal controls, policies and procedures

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, which will involve both verbal and written communication with other functional areas to discuss/clarify reconciling items and obtain additional information and/or confirm the resolution of the items

Prioritize, organize workload and coordinate team activities by collaborating to ensure deadlines are met

Assist with training to support peers in learning and understanding processes, procedures and guidelines

Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to work with Spreadsheets and formulas

Recommend process improvements

Legally eligible to work at the location specified

Completion of an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, MS Office)
