East Carolina University, specifically the Department of Surgery, is seeking temporary part-time faculty positions across various roles in the field of surgery. The faculty will be responsible for teaching, clinical duties, research, and administrative tasks, contributing to the education and care of patients in eastern North Carolina.

Responsibilities

The Faculty positions are available at the titles of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, and Research Professor
These part-time, temporary faculty positions may have teaching, clinical, research, and administrative duties
Positions are 12-month, fixed term appointments
Positions are contingent upon the availability of funds
Position will remain open and applications remain active until 12/31/2026

Qualification

MDDONC medical licenseBoard eligible/certifiedMaster’s degreePhD preferred

Required

MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution, or completed foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMG Certification
Research faculty – Master's degree for the specialty for which you wish to be considered from an appropriately accredited institution
Clinical Faculty – Must be eligible for NC medical license and be board eligible/certified in appropriate discipline to provide patient care
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

PhD preferred for research faculty
