Responsibilities
Manage and develop the Asset Recovery Team, including repossession collectors, ensuring high performance and accountability
Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support team growth and effectiveness
Foster a collaborative and professional work environment
Oversee the management of bankruptcies, foreclosures, and the remarketing of repossessed vehicles. Coordinates with internal teams, legal counsel, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and compliant handling of accounts
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Monitor collection metrics and implement strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce losses. Monitors progress, ensures accurate documentation, and identifies opportunities to improve recovery strategies and minimize losses
Program and maintain the collection software platform to support operational needs and reporting
Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement system updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimize functionality
Manage relationships with third-party vendors including repossession agents, skip tracers, and legal partners
Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service-level agreements are met
Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Qualification
Required
Experience in managing a team, including coaching, training, and performance evaluations
Knowledge of collections operations, including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and repossession processes
Understanding of compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Ability to monitor collection metrics and implement strategies to improve recovery rates
Experience in programming and maintaining collection software platforms
Strong relationship management skills with third-party vendors
Ability to negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance
Analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Benefits
