Responsibilities
Design and lead renewable energy projects, including site civil plans, landscape plans, engineering reports, calculations, specifications, construction detail, and other technical documents in support of municipal permit packages, issued-for bid and issued for-construction documents
Perform site visits and prepare Feasibility Studies
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, clients, and agencies
Planning Board and public presentations, securing regulatory/agency permits and approvals
Foster positive, cooperative, and rewarding relationships with clients
Manage multiple projects and support junior staff by inspiring teamwork
Lead multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
Coordinate Quality Assurance and Control review procedures for projects
Qualification
Required
Ten plus (10+) years of Site Development experience with knowledge of Site Civil Design with background in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture
Strong knowledge of site civil design, permitting, and land use regulations, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and local municipal and state permit applications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Valid driver's license and ability to perform limited travel to project sites
Preferred
Public presentation and planning board experience
Experience with local/state jurisdictional requirements for utility-scale, distributed generation, and behind-the-meter renewable energy applications
Project and/or staff management experience
Proposal writing and business development experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Landscape Architecture from ABET-accredited four-year college or university
New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Landscape Architect (R.L.A.) license
