The Signaling Systems Designer will be responsible for designing fire alarm systems, coordinating with Senior Designers, and ensuring quality control through revisions and document management.

Responsibilities

Design fire alarm systems using AutoCAD within the time constraints established by the task

Responsible for reviewing consulting documents, fire sprinkler drawings, survey documents and applying them to the fire alarm design

Responsible for sending out client deliverables

Responsible for putting drawing submittal packages together for submittal to the AHJ

Making changes to the fire alarm drawings from QC/peer reviews

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

CAD design experienceAutoCADREVITNICET certificationFire Protection knowledge

Required

3 years CAD design experience in the Architectural, Construction or MEP trade required

High School or GED, required

Preferred

Prior experience in REVIT, preferred

NICET certification in Level I or II, preferred

2 years' college or specialized training in Fire Protection or CAD Technical School; Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Engineering, or CAD, preferred
