OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST 3
HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is the largest industrial employer in Virginia, specializing in the design and construction of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers. The Operations Research Analyst 3 will analyze operational activities to support decision-making, lead strategy development to enhance performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Establishing clear linkage between business objectives and key performance measures
Analyzing performance to identify drivers and opportunities for improvement
Working with stakeholders to develop improvement and investment strategies that realize those opportunities
Leading internal teams and coordinating closely with initiative owners to develop and execute value creation plans, roadmaps, and business cases
Developing clear, concise analyses and reports on a broad range of topics and focus areas
Preparing materials for senior leadership and external senior stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
