Apartment Unit Inspector

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is looking for an Apartment Unit Inspector responsible for conducting thorough inspections of apartment units across the company’s property portfolio. The role involves ensuring units meet cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards, while also supporting property teams and assisting with hazard inspections.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-unit inspections of apartment units annually, and semi-annually when possible
Document inspection results, including maintenance needs, safety hazards, and lease compliance concerns
Collaborate with onsite managers and maintenance staff to resolve issues found during inspections
Revisit units to verify completion of corrective actions
Track inspection schedules to ensure compliance with inspection deadlines
Provide training and support to onsite teams regarding inspection protocols and expectations
Assist with property hazard inspections when available and attend related training sessions
Maintain accurate records of inspection results, follow-up actions, and communications
Travel to various properties, with mileage reimbursed from the Downtown Corporate office
Collect asbestos samples and conduct testing in accordance with Level 3 Asbestos Certification
Possess current and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driving record in order to run work-related errands when needed
Ability to read, write and understand written and verbal communications and directions
Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and refrain from all illegal discrimination practices

Required

At least two (2) years of apartment inspection experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
