Recruiter and Outreach Specialist
Spaulding Clinical Research, LLC is a clinical research organization seeking a Recruiter and Outreach Specialist. Responsibilities
Tasks completed with assistance from Manager of Subject Recruitment or Lead Subject Recruiter
Utilizes tools, processes, and training that enable Spaulding Clinical to develop effective strategies and tactics for subject recruitment and retention
Handles study related in-bound and out-bound telephone calls with potential study subjects and responds to inquiries relating to advertising, referrals and research studies
Utilizes study specific screening scripts to actively recruit and screen potential study participants in accordance with each protocol
Reads protocols, consent forms and volunteer information sheets for a thorough understanding of the study drug and procedures
Keeps abreast of SOPs, related FDA, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines, state and national laws and ethical standards
Promote Spaulding Clinical’s research services in the community by engaging with individuals and organizations at various outreach locations and events
Serve as the first point of contact for potential participants, clearly explaining what it means to join a study, including time commitments and procedures (e.g., providing blood and urine samples)
Assist with planning and supporting community events that showcase Spaulding Clinical’s research opportunities
Collaborate with the Recruitment team by providing feedback or ideas for outreach/ marketing materials such as flyers, posters, or digital content based on community engagement experiences
Proactively identifies project challenges, problems, and/or potential efficiencies and communicates these appropriately to the Manager of Subject Recruitment
Designs and maintains tools to ensure proper recruitment for research studies
Ensure that the Manager of Subject Recruitment is updated and aware of any issues that arise in the Recruitment Department
Ensure daily primary goals of Recruitment are met appropriately and that downtime is always filled with productive activities as assigned by the Manager of Subject Recruitment
Work professionally with colleagues to achieve departmental goals as delegated
Able to demonstrate effective professionalism, and problem-solving skills
Trains staff in processes and procedures as needed
Other functions as directed and delegated
As required for study or site needs and if trained and delegated may be assigned study procedures such as obtaining participant information/histories/questionaries/meals/vital signs/EKGs/drug administration/specimen collection/luggage searches
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/Equivalent Required
Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-starter who can work independently while on the road
Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Ability to read, write and interpret the English language
Excellent verbal communication skills including active listening ability
Detail oriented, good organizational traits
Must be self-motivated, results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting deadlines
Proficient computer skills: inclination to adopt technology to maximize efficiency
Basic knowledge of medications, general medical diagnosis, and medical terminology
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Demonstrates ability to adapt to a rapidly changing study environment
Portrays professionalism in all interactions at Spaulding Clinical
Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license (or valid license from state of residence)
Must maintain an acceptable driving record and provide proof of current auto insurance
Must be able to drive for extended periods of time to outreach locations within assigned territory (e.g., Milwaukee and West Bend areas)
Must be able to transport outreach materials and supplies as needed
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision both near and far
Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Preferred
Prior Call Center experience preferred but not required
Prior experience in community outreach, sales, promotions, or customer service preferred but not required
