Responsibilities
Design and implement complex electrical systems
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering disciplines, project managers, and contractors
Lead project teams in delivering comprehensive engineering design packages
Provide oversight and direction to junior engineers and designers, offering leadership and training
Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations
Support construction and commissioning activities, maintaining the quality and accuracy of work
Communicate effectively with project managers, design and construction team members, and clients
Collaborate with the electrical team across offices to enhance internal standards and support colleague development
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET accredited institution
Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia or ability to obtain through reciprocity within three months of start date
Experience in building system design, including power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding and lightning protection, and emergency and uninterruptible power systems
Familiarity with modeling software (i.e., ETAP, SKM, AGI) and knowledge of sustainable design practices
Eligibility to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance
Preferred
Prior consulting experience
Federal government design experience
Medium voltage distribution system design experience
Sustainable and alternate energy design experience
Functional knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is a plus
LEED accreditation and LC certification are a plus
