Responsibilities

Become the Strategic Partner with one or more of the business units of Midland by:

Develop relationships with Executive and Senior Management of assigned Business Units to recognize and communicate areas of improvement to further the financial performance of the unit

Facilitate the development, implementation, and ongoing coordination of the quarterly forecast (including annual budgets) and financial planning processes including monthly variance analysis

Facilitate the ongoing evaluation and analysis of operating business units using financial analysis and modeling tools including key trend analysis and general ledger research to support and drive sound business decisions

Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly and year-end management reports including ad hoc reports as requested by management

Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the internal reporting structure

Monitor progress on difficult assignments and provide guidance on complex issues within finance

Interpret and apply organizational policy and provide input to change methods or procedures to improve efficiency

Work on activities and projects with others inside and outside of the Finance department, will lead projects and coordinate resources

Mentor other team members

The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed

May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers

Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
