Assistant Director, Corporate Initiatives

The Assistant Director manages recruitment, outreach, and cultivation for corporate teams participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk and other Peer-to-Peer programs, while also assisting with sponsorship and working with marathon runners to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities
Primary contact for all corporate teams for the Jimmy Fund Walk
Develop strategy and fundraising plan for all corporate teams and work individually with Team Captains and Pacesetters on such teams to continually increase revenue for the Walk
In collaboration with Assistant Vice President and Senior Director, liaise with Corporate Partnerships to secure $550,000 in cash sponsorship, secure in-kind sponsors, and build corporate Walk team program
Identify areas of opportunity within the Running Programs vertical (Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge, Falmouth Road Race, Boston Half, World Marathon Majors) for sponsorship and corporate engagement
Collaborate with colleagues across the Division on opportunities for corporate engagement
Work with portfolio of Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge runners, offering fundraising support and strategy to surpass goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Three to five years fundraising experience, particularly in an annual fund
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong orientation to donor relations
Well organized and able to prioritize tasks
Ability to manage a multitude of projects
Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as team member
Computer knowledge and familiarity with database management programs
