As a Senior PCB Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for completing PCB layout across the company, interfacing with design engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable hardware for space applications.

Responsibilities

Placement and Routing of high reliability Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs, with schematic and layout input from design engineers
Routing of power, high speed digital, RF, and analog PCB designs
Support librarian in creating and reviewing schematic symbols and footprints from datasheets and 3D models
Own design standards, templates, release procedures and interface to PLM system
Interface with PCB manufacturing team and external fabrication and assembly vendors to assess technical capabilities, design stackups and implement design for manufacturing (DFM)

Required

B.S. or M.S. in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree
7+ years experience with PCB layout and routing
Familiarity with Altium or similar design tools
Experience with IPC standards (Class 2/3, IPC-A-610, IPC-7351)
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, Or Refugee/Asylee Status Required

Preferred

Experience with scripting or automation
Experience working with PLM software (Arena preferred)
Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
