Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including basic inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs across hotel facilities and equipment
Kitchen equipment knowledge/experience
Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify potential maintenance needs and report issues to the Engineering leadership team
Respond to guest maintenance requests with a focus on efficiency, professionalism, and guest satisfaction
Collaborate with fellow engineers and departments to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and organized manner
Assist in troubleshooting and performing basic repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems under guidance when necessary
Support preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime
Work with contractors or senior engineers on more complex repairs or renovation projects
Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, repairs, and inventory usage
Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with hotel and regulatory maintenance procedures
Contribute to occasional special projects, renovations, or room refresh initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
2 to 3 years experience as a General Maintenance Engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry
kitchen equipment knowledge/experience
Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance systems
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
technical certification or relevant degree is a plus
