Paralegal
Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 60 law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys in their Baltimore office with general and complex litigation matters. The role requires proactive case management, document management, and the ability to work closely with attorneys on litigation tasks.

Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in general and complex litigation matters
Maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases
Take ownership of case calendars
Electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system or local State Court sites under the supervision of an attorney
Perform online PACER research
Prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions
Be primarily responsible for document management for all cases
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm
Experience with case preparation from beginning to end
Understanding of a paralegal's role in the litigation life cycle
Strong organizational skills
Well-developed critical thinking skills
Very detail oriented
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
Experience with eDiscovery databases
Strong sense of accountability
Ability to take ownership over projects and responsibilities
Ability to resolve issues proactively
Ability to work as a true team player
Ability to learn new software
2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate (work experience may be substituted for education)
Ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet and Westlaw
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs
Preferred
Experience with drafting medical chronologies
