Principal Licensing Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and implement licensing strategies for new nuclear plant technologies, with emphasis on AP1000 and AP300 designs
Support proposal development through technical input, scope definition, and schedule coordination
Prepare regulatory submittals including Safety Analysis Reports, license amendment requests, and Topical Reports
Be the primary liaison between Westinghouse, customers/licensees, the U.S. NRC, and international regulatory bodies
Mentor and guide junior engineers on licensing deliverables and project execution
Provide technical and regulatory expertise to internal stakeholders and leadership
Deliver licensing presentations to internal and external partners
Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory compliance

Required

Minimum 8+ years required; typically 10+ years of experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (typically Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Nuclear)
Nuclear licensing skills like development of 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and topical reports
Familiar w/ NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance
Familiar w/ AP1000 design, operation, and work processes
A subject matter expert in one or technical or licensing discipline
Nuclear safety and customer focus outlook
