Seasonal Marketing Coordinator

Herschend Family Entertainment is the largest family-held themed attractions company, dedicated to bringing families closer together. The Seasonal Marketing Coordinator will manage activities across various channels, generate brand content, and assist marketing leadership with their duties related to Lake Compounce.

Media and Entertainment

Responsibilities

Design effective and creative media, including in-park signage and website, email, social, print assets, and other content
Coordinate content creation and community management for all Lake Compounce social channels
Assist with all direct guest communication on social channels for maximum guest satisfaction
Leverage social media to increase awareness and engage fans
Brief and work with CRM team to build and deploy email campaigns
Report on Social and CRM performance to identify trends and opportunities
Maintain and regularly update the Lake Compounce website, regularly reviewing for accuracy and working with internal departments to generate content
Lead and complete special projects and initiatives related to marketing, sales, and content creation
Ensure Park brand and voice consistency across all park channels
Provide exceptional, friendly guest service on social channels and in-person with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail

Required

Currently majoring in (or graduated with) with a bachelor's degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline
At least six months of previous work or internship experience in the areas of content, social media, or digital marketing
Previous experience creating content for at least one other brand entity
Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus
Good photography and videography skills would be a must
Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with CT Child Labor Laws
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to write content in a clear, concise and professional manner
Ability to directly engage with customers and other web media resources
Ability to effectively respond to negative online (or in-person) feedback without taking it personally or conveying negative emotion
Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer
Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for long periods of time throughout the day
Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more

Preferred

Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus
