Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous deals

Oversee the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to maintain quality and reliability

Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability criteria

Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs to minimize stockouts or excess inventory

Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs and budget considerations

Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in pricing or availability of materials

Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities

Implement and maintain a purchasing database or system for tracking orders and supplier performance

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function
