Lou-Rich is currently in search of a highly proficient Tube Laser Operator to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will assume a pivotal position in both the production and evaluation of laser devices, collaborating closely with the Engineering team to ensure superior quality benchmarks. Your contributions will directly influence the triumph of our endeavors by analyzing test results and offering insightful perspectives.

Responsibilities

Reviews plans with engineering team to clarify specifications for laser devices

Interprets instructions for production workers who grind the mirror blanks and machine metal parts and install and align them

Operates vacuum pumps to empty laser body, refills it with the specified number of gases, such as helium, carbon dioxide, or neon, checks pressure, and performs required tests

Assembles laser device in chassis and connects regulatory dials and switches

Sets up electronic and optical instruments to test laser devices at various electrical or optical inputs

Also tests for gas leaks

Analyzes and reports test findings to engineering team

When results indicate problems, the technician will suggest ideas for consideration by project engineers
