VASH Case Manager - 5466
ColumbiaCare Services is a non-profit behavioral health and Veteran’s service agency dedicated to helping individuals improve their lives. They are seeking a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Case Manager to assist veterans in navigating housing systems, ensuring compliance with VA service providers, and coordinating with local housing authorities.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with VA service providers and HUD-VASH program
Assist veterans to obtain documentation such as: birth certificates, driver’s license, income verification and any additional information requested by the housing authority or landlord
Coordinate with local Public Housing Authority; identify landlords with available housing eligible for Section 8 rental and assist veterans with completing apartment applications and moving in arrangements
Have knowledge of Washington landlord Tenant Laws
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field
Case Manager MUST be master's level clinicians AND licensed to practice independently OR actively working towards master's level licensure as verified via the Washington State Department of Health
Ability to travel (mostly within King County)
BLS certified
Valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire
Maintain a safe driving record
Ability to pass an extensive background check through the VA
Ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable
Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require an individual to lift and transfer clients
Direct Care staff must be 18 or older at the time of hire
Preferred
Knowledge of community resources and familiarity with HUD vouchering and rental assistant systems
Experience working with individuals who have/are experiencing homelessness and/or the public housing authority
Preference will be given to Veterans
