Responsibilities

Safely use established Welding techniques and best practices to make parts to Engineering Specifications within the scheduled time allowed

Weld using TIG primarily or MIG and other fabrication processes. Parts will be commonly stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminum. Welders will adhere to both Industry Standards and Schneider procedures to make parts to engineering drawing specifications

Finish parts by wire brushing, grinding and blending grain as required and complete required documentation

Analyze and interpret engineering drawings to establish a clear understanding of what work is required to successfully make the part. Perform in-process checks to ensure the parts are conforming to the print

Work with engineering to suggest improvements in drawings and designs

Monitor the quality of all components and frames leaving the welding area and make suggestions and changes to improve efficiency and quality in the welding area

Train and develop less experienced Welders in the Schneider welding procedures emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity

Complete all required paperwork and labor reporting

Perform miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance duties

Perform other duties as required by management
