Responsibilities
Consult with program administrators, staff, and providers as needed
Complete medication training for staff and be responsible for approvals to pass medications
Review certain facility operations for staff such as; Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) assessments, emergency medication protocols, measuring vital signs, and facility guidelines for general medical care
Support facility intakes, clarify medication orders, and assist with referral packets
Serve as a liaison between administrators and prescribers for both psychiatric and limited medical needs
Schedule time effectively to cover assigned residential facilities
Qualification
Required
MUST have an Associate's degree in Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing or have the ability to transfer out-of-state RN licensure to Oregon
Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
This position requires the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers. It may require the ability to occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred
Previous experience providing acute psychiatric care or outpatient community mental health treatment is highly preferred
Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates
