They are seeking an experienced Transportation/Civil Project Engineer to produce detailed design plans for Nebraska's roadways and highways while mentoring younger engineers and collaborating with regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

Work closely with internal staff on design projects, design plans, and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, which may include grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and sanitary sewers

Prepare plans, specifications, and design-related documents with the supervision and guidance of the project manager

Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitation

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard

Six years of progressively responsible experience

Registered Professional Civil Engineer

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office & MicroStation including OpenRoads/GEOPAK software

Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results

Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
