Responsibilities

Process conflicts searches and new business intake requests with a goal of 15–20 per day
Conduct research and cross-reference attorney, client, and matter information
Review and report potential conflicts of interest, providing recommendations where needed
Ensure accurate and consistent documentation for new matters and client engagements
Assist with attorney onboarding by running pre-employment conflicts checks and helping resolve issues before start dates
Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance requirements are met prior to hire
Run and review Westlaw Due Diligence reports as part of the intake process
Track compliance documentation including conflict waivers, engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and billing agreements
Respond to workflow requests and inquiries from attorneys and staff
Maintain accurate records and follow firm policies to support ethical compliance
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Assist with special projects and other duties as needed

Required

A combination of legal experience and education that has prepared you for work in conflicts, compliance, or corporate research
1–2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or law firm environment
Familiarity with legal ethics, due diligence, and compliance concepts
Experience with automated conflict-checking systems and corporate research tools
Confidence working in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
A sharp eye for detail and the ability to think through issues logically and independently
Strong organizational habits — you're someone who can balance multiple priorities with ease
A collaborative spirit, openness to learning, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
