Eversource Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern for their IT Major Program, Architecture Internship. The intern will support the Massachusetts Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployment by assisting in project tasks such as reporting, environment validation, and cost analysis while gaining hands-on experience with enterprise technologies.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Visualization: • + Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and SharePoint to support project tracking and executive updates. • + Assist in data gathering and visualization to support business analysis and decision-making

Cloud Architecture Support: • + Review Azure components used in the AMI solution, including resource groups, services, and configurations. • + Analyze and report on Azure cost management data to identify optimization opportunities

Environment Validation: • + Verify correctness and stability of development, test, and production environments. • + Support environment documentation and assist in identifying discrepancies or risks

Cross-Team Collaboration: • + Participate in meetings with Architecture, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders. • + Assist with ad hoc tasks as they arise, including documentation, data validation, and process improvement initiatives

Presentation & Communication Support: • + Create PowerPoint presentations and technical diagrams to communicate architecture, environment status, and project updates to key stakeholders. • + Support the development of visual materials for leadership reviews and cross-functional meetings

Data Quality & Productivity Tools: • + Conduct basic data analysis to assess and improve data quality across AMI systems. • + Assist in building productivity tools (e.g., Python scripts or Excel macros) to automate data quality verification and reporting. • + Collaborate with Business Analysts to identify data issues and propose solutions
