They are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grants Assistant Intern to support the research, development, and administration of public and private grants while working closely with the Executive Director and team.

Responsibilities
Assist in writing and editing proposals and supporting documents
Conduct prospect research for public and private funders
Organize grant application calendars and reporting deadlines
Prepare materials for collaborative meetings with community partners
Maintain records and data in Bloomerang
Participate in on-site community events as needed (garden visits, tabling, etc.)
Help shape the foundation of a long-term philanthropic strategy centered on justice, equity, and community voice
Qualification
Required
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience or coursework in philanthropy, nonprofit management, urban planning, or grantwriting
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort working in a collaborative and multicultural environment
Interest in environmental and social justice, especially in BIPOC-led communities
Preferred
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce, Airtable) is a plus
Lived or community-based experience in NYC's LES, South Bronx, or similar neighborhoods is a bonus
