Information Technology
Responsibilities
Perform Daisy chain software phone installations for VoIP and analog systems
Set up and test telephony devices (emergency phones, intercoms, facsimile terminals)
Run new wiring and replace jacks, lids, and pedestals as needed
Diagnose and resolve technical faults in telecommunications systems
Troubleshoot POTS/analog lines for alarm panels and elevator systems
Handle move/add/change requests for phones and related equipment
Participate in large-scale upgrades and hospital technology projects
Collaborate with engineers and IT teams for system integration
Maintain inventory of hardware/software and adhere to hospital safety standards
Ensure installations meet infection control and HIPAA compliance requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent technical training
1–2 years of experience in telephony or low-voltage cabling
Familiarity with VoIP systems and IP networking basics
Familiarity with digital/analog cross-connect wiring and patch panels
Familiarity with tools such as punch-down kits, tone generators, and test sets
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred
BICSI, Network+, or A+ certifications
Experience with PBX provisioning and hospital-grade telecom systems
