Responsibilities

To provide a high quality dining experience to patients which meets their nutritional requirements and service expectations

The Host/Hostess acts as the liaison between patients and food service and nutrition through daily patient interactions and coordinating patient nutritional needs between nursing units and dieticians, as well as kitchen staff

The Host/Hostess assists patients with room service when appropriate and delivers meal trays to assigned patients

Required

Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and proficiently

Min - 1-3 years experience in a customer service position

Min - 1-3 years experience in a food service establishment

Working knowledge of a PC/Microsoft Windows

Typing skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of menus, food and diets

Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently to complete tasks

Ability to problem solve to meet customers' needs

Must display a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times reflecting the culture of healing and service excellence that we promote

Ability to handle stressful situations
