Architecture & Planning
Responsibilities
Manage Educational and Municipal projects
Mentor junior staff
Coordinate large teams of consultants
Lead internal teams
Review Architectural Details, QA/QC, Construction Administration
Navigate challenges that come up in construction
Capture meeting notes and distribute them
Assign action items to staff and consultants
Follow up and meet deadlines
Create schedules
Manage project budgets
Communicate with clients
Keep projects moving forward
Draft AIA contracts/change orders/close out
Qualification
Required
Registered Architect required
Has 15-35 years of experience
Good communicator that can manage several projects concurrently
Able to coordinate large teams of consultants and lead internal teams as well
Strong technical background in how buildings go together – Reviewing Architectural Details, QA/QC, Construction Administration
Navigating challenges that come up in construction
Understands the importance of capturing meeting notes (and distributing them), assigning action items to staff and consultants, following up and meeting deadlines
Mentoring younger staff as they develop as architects
Has a background in project management skills such as: creating schedules, managing project budgets, communicating with clients and keeping projects moving forward, drafting AIA contracts/change orders/close out/etc
Software: Bluebeam (Mandatory)
Preferred
Professional degree in Architecture or related field preferred
Newforma (Preferable)
Revit (Preferable)
Experience with institutional projects (Publicly funded, educational, City, County, Federal, etc)
