Senior LevelCummins Inc. is seeking a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic to join their team specializing in engine repairs. In this role, you will complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field while developing productive customer relations and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities
Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field
Develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
Complete training in line with skill and business requirements
Ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
Qualification
Required
Advanced Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets
Cummins Certifications
Flexibility to work various hours and days of the week with the ability to be on call and available for emergency needs
Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver's license and insurance
Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as required
Locally valid driving permit
Significant field service work experience
Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting Cummins electrical and aftertreatment using Cummins Insite
Proficient work experience in replacing internal components (head, pistons, liners, etc.)

Reliable and a self-starter with a positive attitude that contributes to the team
Customer focus mentality
Follow and maintain the DOT requirements needed for this position
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing
A current valid license is required for this role
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
3 years driving experience
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
Preferred
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians
