Community School Assistant Instructors

Anoka-Hennepin School District is seeking Community School Assistant Instructors to work with elementary and middle school participants in various community education programs. Responsibilities

Greet participants, community partners during the check-in and pickup times, explains program logistics and provide directions
Assist in any general prep work for activities, including set-up and put away games and supplies as directed by Instructor
Assist Instructor in presenting activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Subject matterCommunity activitiesConcussion training certificationLift 20 poundsWork with youth/adultsWork flexible schedule

Required

Some high school completed – does not require High School Diploma
Knowledge and/or experience in subject matter
Ability and desire to work with targeted audience
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions

Preferred

Concussion training certification preferred (if necessary, depending on subject matter)
Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred
Advanced training or college degree preferred
Previous experience working with targeted audience (youth participants and/or adults) preferred
