Responsibilities
Secure competitive quotes for accounts up to $15k in revenue
Review and validate submissions for completeness and adherence to best practices
Respond to underwriters’ inquiries and negotiate coverage terms with carriers on behalf of clients
Review carrier quotations and prepare detailed comparison summaries
Finalize marketing efforts and create client-ready proposal presentations
Bind coverage and execute a seamless hand-off to the appropriate client service team
Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives
Serve as a technical resource on market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies
Participate in carrier meetings and share updates with Select operations and sales teams
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems and technology platforms
Stay current on industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance
Property & Casualty insurance license required
Comprehensive understanding of property & casualty coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts
Exceptional critical, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to manage complex tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction
Comfortable navigating carrier marketing platforms and internet-based tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong relationship management abilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Industry designations such as CIC, ARM, AAI, CPCU preferred
Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred
