The City of Coral Springs is seeking qualified art instructors to teach art classes or workshops in the Coral Springs Museum of Art. Instructors will teach various disciplines and are expected to have teaching experience and relevant educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

Teach art classes or workshops for young artists and/or adults in the museum studios

Prepare and present portfolio images and examples of class work if possible

Participate in a museum training session

Pass a background check and provide fingerprints if teaching youth programs

Create a class curriculum with a breakdown of projects

Qualification

BFA in ArtTeaching experienceLevel 2 background checkPortfolio presentationCurriculum development

Required

BFA in one of the requested disciplines or BA in Art Education / Art History and teaching experience or at least 3 years of teaching experience in a structured arts environment

All sessions are taught by professional artists with at least 2 years of experience

A level 2 background check is required of all instructors that will be working with children; the cost of the level 2 background check is the responsibility of the instructor

All teaching positions require a class curriculum with a breakdown of projects
