Fire Alarm Project Manager
Oliver Fire Protection & Security is focused on delivering exceptional fire alarm installation and fit-out projects. The Fire Alarm Project Manager is responsible for managing these projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations, stay within budget, and comply with contract requirements while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Review the booking package received from Sales. Meet with the salesperson and designer to review the project scope
Schedule a project kickoff meeting with Sales, Design, Operations Supervisor, and other relevant stakeholders when necessary
Introduce yourself to all project stakeholders and clearly communicate responsibilities, scope of work, timelines, and expectations
Ensure projects are progressing according to the established schedule
Identify and pursue change order opportunities in coordination with the Sales representative. All change orders must be estimated, proposed in writing, and approved whenever possible before work begins
Notify the Operations Supervisor of technician requirements for each project
Participate in weekly scheduling meetings with the Operations team to review active job statuses. Release and coordinate material orders with the Operations Coordinator and arrange delivery with the Warehouse Supervisor
For projects utilizing Oliver installation labor, conduct a pre-start site visit and ensure necessary tools and materials are ready for mobilization
Attend job site meetings as needed
Provide timely billing breakdowns for AIA and monthly invoicing. Coordinate closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure timely billing
Assist the Accounts Receivable department with collections when necessary
Draft all key correspondence regarding time extensions, liability protections, or other critical project-related issues
Regularly review job cost sheets to identify variances from the estimate and implement corrective actions or understand factors contributing to increased efficiency
Submit updated contract status sheets monthly to the Accounting Department for WIP (Work in Progress) calculations
Ensure technicians complete and submit all close-out documents promptly upon job completion
Coordinate all final project close-out documentation with the Operations Coordinator
Review and verify all costs before closing the project and assist with any necessary cost transfers
For larger projects, conduct a project wrap-up meeting with Design, Superintendent, and Sales
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years in the fire alarm industry
Preferred
College or Technical School Degree
NICET Level 1 in Fire Alarm Systems
OSHA 10 Certification
