Manager - Technology Training and Development

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for coordinating the delivery of all technical product training needs and programs across the organization
Work with Systems Trainers to develop and deliver application training in support of such areas as installing,configuring, managing and troubleshooting software products
Proactively explore the technical training needs of departments across the organization and develop training material as needed
Create and deliver end-user training to include curriculum development, course/class creation, competency asessments and exams and including curriculum, courses, training, exams, and where applicable credentials and formal certification
Insure all training modules are current, coordinated with new product releases and updated continuously to reflect key competitive differentiators
Ensure maintenance of all relevant training documents and training materials for all levels of training, from new employees to veteran Sales Engineers
Ensure that technical training is aligned with broader business initiatives
Collaborate with technical subject matter experts within the IT department and across the organization at large to design and develop training programs and all required training materials
Collaborate with appropriate IT team members, Clinical Education, Human Resources, Nurse Leadership and all other applicable groups to develop content and materials required for training
Manage the maintenance and versioning control process of all training materials; be the “hub” for content, cataloging, organizing, and storing all training and reference materials
Identify training opportunities and utilize multiple formats and media to develop and deliver training
Provide a quality training experience in a manner that supports adult learning principles and positions participants for success
Support continuous cycle of improvement through testing for learning, customer feedback surveys on training experience and effectiveness, identifying innovative methods to meet evolving training needs

Core: Ensures new employees complete general and department-specific orientation as set forth into the hospital's policies and procedures. Documents all personnel actions and submits them immediately for review
Core: Ensures that all procedures are carried out in accordance with company policy
Core: Ensures the implementation and completion of the team's regular and special projects as assigned
Core: Follows hospital's policies and procedures regarding Human Resources Management
Core: Guides and directs the team's efforts. Ensures the team has all the required resources to perform as expected
Core: Is responsible for the completion of Performance Evaluations of the assigned team
Core: Maximizes area's impact by ensuring adequate staffing levels and the most efficient organization and use of resources
Core: Reports incidents to the Director and/or Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy
Core: Supports the day to day activities of the staff

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
3+ years experience in a corporate/business training/education setting
