Maintenance Staff/Handyperson
Center for Developmentally Disabled is a Kansas City nonprofit with over 50 years of service, seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure their homes and facilities remain safe and functional. The role involves hands-on repairs and maintenance across various systems to support individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems
Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep
Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices
Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED required
At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience (2+ years or technical training preferred)
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver's license (MO Class E or Kansas Class C); ability to travel locally
