CNC Machinist A

TSE Industries is seeking a CNC Machinist A to set up, adjust, and operate CNC and conventional machines to fabricate required parts. The role involves studying blueprints and drawings, selecting tools, and ensuring quality production while collaborating with team members to drive positive results.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements
Ability to efficiently produce quality parts on a CNC plus two other, separate work centers within the Machine Shop
Prepare the correct material for machining
Select the most appropriate tools for the assigned tasks
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit program
Run your first piece and make adjustments as needed
Make sure part meets print
Be able to successfully navigate within TSE ERP system and correctly enter data as required
Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
Must be able to make/grind your own tools as required

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year college, university or Machining Certification from a technical school and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Ability to perform machinist's math
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software
To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain Safety Training according to the Safety Training Matrix
