Responsibilities
Perform sample preparation, processing, and analysis using established analytical methods, including gas chromatography (GC), liquid chromatography (LC), ion chromatography (IC), and wet chemistry techniques
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation to ensure reliable and accurate performance
Follow documented procedures, QA/QC protocols, and safety requirements while generating high-quality, defensible data
Accurately record experimental data and prepare concise summaries and technical documentation
Support multiple analytical and research programs concurrently while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail
Collaborate with scientists, project leaders, and technical staff to meet project objectives and timelines
Assist with laboratory readiness, including inventory management, instrument upkeep, and preparation for specialized studies or field support
Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure data validity
Support laboratory safety initiatives, including contributing to chemical hygiene and safety plans
Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to other laboratory staff as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience
Demonstrated experience using GC, LC, IC, and wet chemistry methods
Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and laboratory documentation practices
Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with environmental or industrial analytical testing
Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting experience
Experience supporting applied research or multi-project laboratory environments
Familiarity with field sampling or field-based analytical support
