Stroke Program Coordinator - FT (Days)

Responsibilities
Provide program leadership, management, strategic direction, and financial control of the Stroke Program
Act as an active member of the Performance Improvement and Peer Review Committee
Lead the development of the stroke prevention/early response program
Collect, keep, and report data for the Stroke Registry
Meet all HIPAA regulatory requirements in data submission to the appropriate entities
Prepare reports for committee meetings related to strokes
Assist and interface with the ED, physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
Qualification
Required
Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
BLS
Skills in program management related to data, operations, presentations, and budgeting
Skills in public relations and development of professional relationships with EMS, Media, Referral hospitals, etc
Is proficient in the use of State Data Dictionary and the Registry Software
Computer Skills with basic Microsoft Office programs
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Neurology Experience, Minimum 2 years acute care experience
Preferred
BSN preferred
Strong education background preferred
Shows evidence of educational preparation of CME's on neurology related programs
