Patient Service Representative - Pulmonary

They are seeking a Patient Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner

Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information

Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service

Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in

Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date

Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms. Once close is completed, sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation

Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner

Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Experience in a medical office or customer service environment

Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing
