Dogwood Industries is a steel fabrication company specializing in relocatable structures for industrial and DoD customers. They are seeking an experienced Fabricator to efficiently weld steel assemblies and perform fitting tasks according to specifications and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Welding competency in all positions

Able to set weld machines to optimum parameters for work in accordance with WPS

Understands weld symbols and prepares joints in accordance with code

Competent in metal fabrication to exact specifications and drawings

Operate machinery and tools such as grinders, saws, torches, and drills to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to design specifications

Fit, align, and adjust parts to ensure proper functionality and attention to the design

Performs fitting work as instructed

Utilizes jigs and fixtures where appropriate

Places welds of proper size, spacing and sequence per work instruction

Ability to read and understand shop plans, blueprints and work orders

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
