Responsibilities
Help lead a team in the development and management of cross-discipline complex changes to the propulsion plant control and information system (CIS)
Interface with internal and external customers, vendors, and partners in the planning and development of multiple ship alteration projects requiring simultaneous management of major overlapping events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
US Citizenship Required for this Position
Clearance Required: Yes- Final Clearance Required to Start
Travel Requirement: Yes, 10%-25% of the time
Preferred
Familiar with CVN 78 plant design and operations
Experience with control system software change control and lifecycle management
Experience leading cross-discipline efforts
