Division Cost Controller
Hubbard Construction Company is seeking a Division Controller to lead the financial operations of their division. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and operational support, while also contributing to an ERP implementation project.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, maintaining internal controls and adherence to company policies
Supervise and mentor a small team of 2-3 accounting clerks, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Develop and maintain division budgets and forecasts and provide insightful variance analysis to leadership
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers to support project budgeting and cost tracking
Prepare and review monthly journal entries and ensure proper documentation
Support internal and external audits, working with Corporate Finance and external auditors
Participate in the ERP system implementation project (SAP), ensuring it aligns with financial processes and provides accurate data for decision-making
Take on special projects and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; dual background in Engineering and Finance is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management
Understanding of project accounting and cost control, ideally within the construction industry
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
Preferred
Experience with ERP system implementation or upgrades is a plus
SAP experience preferred
