The City of New York's Fire Department is the largest and busiest emergency response agency in the world. They are seeking a Data Quality Analyst to assist in making evidence-based decisions by performing data quality checks, building interactive dashboards, and engaging with the community regarding Open Data initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform data quality checks and anomaly detection

Support the building of interactive dashboards, primarily using Tableau/PowerBI and modern Python frameworks (Dash/Streamlit)

Fulfill ad-hoc data requests and design metrics to track and report on departmental performance

Participate in community outreach related to Open Data, including responding to public inquiries and representing the Department at events

Assist the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer’s office with tracking initiatives

Assist the Intergovernmental Affairs Unit with reporting for local laws and Community Board initiatives

Required

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above

High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in '1' above
