Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker)

The Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker) is responsible for simulating cyberattacks to identify and help remediate security weaknesses across enterprise and client environments, focusing on offensive security testing of networks, applications, and systems.

Responsibilities
Conduct authorized penetration tests against networks, applications, cloud environments, and systems to identify exploitable vulnerabilities
Perform web and application security testing, including assessments aligned with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principles
Execute network and infrastructure testing, including external, internal, and wireless penetration tests
Test cloud and hybrid environments for misconfigurations, identity weaknesses, and privilege escalation paths
Identify, validate, and exploit vulnerabilities while maintaining strict ethical and legal boundaries
Develop clear, detailed penetration testing reports that document findings, attack paths, risk impact, and remediation recommendations
Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and leadership
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to validate remediation efforts and re-test fixes
Stay current with emerging threats, exploit techniques, and security research
Contribute to the development of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Proven hands-on experience performing penetration testing and offensive security assessments
Strong understanding of attack techniques, adversary behavior, and common exploitation methods
Experience testing web applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments
Proficiency with penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, custom tooling)
Solid knowledge of networking, operating systems, and common security misconfigurations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think like an attacker
Ability to clearly document and communicate technical findings in written and verbal formats
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO, and OWASP
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, GWAPT, or similar are preferred
