Double E Group designs and manufactures advanced web handling, material handling, and converting solutions. The Precision CNC Turning Technician will operate CNC equipment, perform machine setups, and conduct inspections to ensure high-quality production of precision parts.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC equipment in a low-volume, high-mix environment (5+ changeovers daily)

Analyze and group work to reduce setups and maximize workflow

Perform efficient machine setups

Complete first-piece inspections using vernier calipers, micrometers, and drop dial indicators

Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Stop machines to remove finished parts or to change tooling, setup, or piece placement per required machining sequences

Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules using computer network links

Ensure proper lubrication and cooling during operation

Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set operations, sequencing, finished dimensions, and numerical control sequences

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Some degree of CNC programming experience

Average math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Ability to read and comprehend instructions; clear, simple oral communication skills

Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position components up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand consistently for an entire 8 to 10-hour shift

Team-oriented and reliable

Minimum of three years of experience in a machine shop, or one year if a vocational school graduate

Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
