They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to assist with and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for a diversified portfolio, including residential rental properties and a construction project.

Responsibilities
Record and reconcile tenant deposits, rents, and other receipts
Enter and manage accounts payable, ensuring proper coding and approvals
Process check runs and electronic payments
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Complete balance sheet reconciliations for all entities
Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple entities
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
Support month-end and year-end close
Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
Provide financial support for ownership, management, and external CPA
Track construction costs and job costing
Assist with capitalization of development costs
Support construction draws and documentation as needed
Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations as needed
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Support audits, tax preparation, and lender requests as needed
Qualification
Required
4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or development
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, AP, and reconciliations
Experience with multi-entity accounting
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with accounting or property management software (e.g., QuickBooks, AppFolio, Yardi, or similar)
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Experience with construction or development accounting
Prior exposure to professional services firm accounting
