Responsibilities

Performs engineering design and calculations for structural steel connections and miscellaneous steel systems of various buildings, structures, and industries

Review building design package to gather required information to utilize in the delegated design package

Evaluates designs for overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, constructability and safety

Adhere to applicable Quality Control procedures

Review fabrication drawings for conformance to design specifications

Provide accurate project status reporting to facilitate accurate customer reporting

Assist in the development of engineering tools and processes

Review requests for engineering services to determine that adequate information is provided to complete the service

Generate required engineering reports and drawing redlines

Required

Bachelor's Degree, Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis)

Licensed Professional Engineer or currently pursuing

Experience with structural design software for connections, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental metals

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Academic knowledge of AutoCAD, SDS2, and/or Tekla

3-5 years of experience in delegated design and/or building design
