Administrative Assistant - Myeloma/Lymphoma

Responsibilities
Perform routine administrative and secretarial duties
Type abstracts and manuscripts according to specific grant formats
Maintain calendar for physician/supervisor
Take, prepare, and distribute meeting minutes
Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
Maintain complex confidential patient and/or general office files
Arrange conferences including booking rooms, catering, and equipment
Compile reports and compose formal and informal correspondence
Create and format presentations
Coordinate human resources activities for the department, including processing confidential paperwork and maintaining records
Monitor and balance company center budget activity, including account review, cost projections, and status reports
Ensure timely submission of required reports/documents for manuscripts and grants
May coordinate faculty recruitment, training, or schedules for graduate students and visiting fellows
Supervise work distribution and processing for clerical area
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Four years of administrative/secretarial experience
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Five years of administrative/secretarial experience in a healthcare setting
Proficiency in Excel and data entry
